Introduction
The Cultural Section of the Consulate General and Promotion Center
of Argentina in New York is devoted to promote and publicize Argentine
culture, science and education and the strengthening and fostering
relations between Argentina and the consular jurisdiction, including
New York, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New
Jersey, Rhode Island and Vermont
In order to achieve its mission the Cultural Section prepares,
in coordination with the Department of Cultural Affairs of the Argentine
Foreign Relations Ministry, its own program of activities and grants
auspices and assists to projects and initiatives in the area of
visual arts, music, literature, theater, cinematography, science,
and education.

The National Council of Scientific and Technological Research
(CONICET), is an autarchic governmental entity, under the jurisdiction
of the Secretary of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation,
the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. It was created
by Executive Order # 1291, dated february 5, 1958. It is nowadays
the main entity devoted to the promotion and performance of science
and technology in Argentina.
Its activity is performed in four great areas of knowledge, and
in the major area of technology:
* Agricultural Sciences, Engineering and Material
* Biological and Health Sciences
* Exact and Natural Sciences
* Social Sciences and Humanities
* Technology
